I’ve been using for years the services from HostGator.

I’m still having there 3 types of accounts.. .one reseller, a VPS (Virtual Private Host) and one SHARED (the cheapest one)

Why i selected Hostgator

- good pricing

- fast support

- a lot of installed services

- good servers and no down-times (or small)

What i don’t like to host gator

- online service (the chat) is poor

- they have only English support

Final Note

I have to say i used only linux servers. Total time (about 4 years)
